The short version: FeedYu has no servers, no accounts, and collects nothing. Everything the app knows lives in a local database on your phone and is never transmitted to us — we couldn't read it if we wanted to, because there is no "us" infrastructure to send it to.
FeedYu uses your location (with your permission, while using the app) for exactly one purpose: measuring how far away restaurants are, so suggestions fit your distance / walk / drive budget. Your location is processed on the device. It is not stored, logged, or sent to the developer. Travel-time estimates are computed by Apple Maps under Apple's privacy policy.
Lists you import — shared Google Maps links or Google Takeout files — are parsed on your device and stored only on your device. Removing a list in Settings, or deleting the app, deletes that data.
To do its job, the app fetches public web pages and data directly from your device, the same way a browser would: Google Maps (your shared lists, restaurant pages), the Michelin Guide (restaurant names, photos, descriptions), Uber Eats (checking whether a restaurant is orderable), and Apple Maps (travel times). These requests go straight from your phone to those services under their own privacy policies; FeedYu adds no account identifiers of yours to them and receives none of the traffic.
Nothing. No analytics, no advertising identifiers, no crash-reporting SDKs, no tracking of any kind. The App Store's privacy label for FeedYu reads "Data Not Collected" because there is genuinely nothing collected.
FeedYu does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the update will appear on this page with a new effective date.
